From a Pinery Cabin to a Studio Practice
Your Pinery Home began in 2017 with a single question our founder, Maren Holloway, asked while standing on the porch of her grandfather's weathered A‑frame outside Estes Park: "Why does it feel like the forest is winning?" The answer — a slow, stubborn build of hand‑milled pine, decades of patina, and a chimney that always drew clean — became the seed of everything we do today.
What started as a notebook of cabin sketches beside the woodstove has grown into a small, intentional studio of architects, builders, and forest stewards. We design and renovate mountain homes that honor the pinery tradition: tight joinery, locally sourced timber, deep porches, and a quiet respect for wildfire. Every plan we draft, every board we specify, and every stove we light is rooted in the belief that a cabin should shelter both the family inside it and the forest around it.
